Will Smith appears to engage in reading the Holy Quran for spiritual enrichment.
The actor, known for his role in “The Pursuit of Happyness,” recently spoke candidly with Egyptian journalist Amr Adeeb on an episode of the BigTime podcast that has resurfaced.
During the conversation, Smith, who is reportedly separated from his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, expressed, “The last two years have been challenging, and I’ve turned inward.”
He disclosed his endeavor to explore various religious texts, including reading the Quran cover to cover during the last Ramadan, as part of his spiritual journey.
He shared that his aim was to develop a more compassionate heart amidst this phase of spiritual exploration. Reflecting on his experience with the Quran, Smith noted, “I wish I could articulate how much Musa (Moses) is mentioned in the holy book,” emphasizing his profound encounters with the story of Moses.
Smith praised the Quran for its clarity and simplicity, finding it devoid of ambiguity compared to other religious texts. He expressed admiration for its clear spiritual essence.
