UK Chief of General Staff Praises COAS Asim Munir’s Leadership

UK’s Chief of General Staff, General Sir Patrick Sanders, praised COAS General Asim Munir’s leadership and acknowledged the honesty and integrity of Pakistan Armed Forces officers.

Speaking at a luncheon in London honoring nearly 50 senior British military personnel of the Quetta Association, who had studied and served in Pakistan Army’s Command and Staff College over the past five decades, Gen.

Sanders emphasized the professional expertise of the Pakistani military.

He described Pakistan as the UK Army‘s top priority in defense association and collaboration.

The British army officer also discussed his previous visits to Pakistan and expressed regret that his forthcoming visit would be his last in uniform.

Gen. Sanders highlighted Pakistan’s strategic importance as a country bridging the East and the West and praised the battle-hardened Pakistan Army for its defense capabilities and assistance to partner nations.

The event was attended by several distinguished British military officers, including Lieutenant General Sir Alistar Irwin, Lieutenant General Anthony Palmer, Brigadier Nick Thompson, Brigadier Tony Berry, and Major General Seumas Kerr.

Organized to commemorate the British officers’ tenure in Quetta, the event underscored the Command and Staff College’s role in training officers since 1905.

Souvenirs were presented to the chief guest and other dignitaries by the spouse of the Pakistani high commissioner.
