Royal family including, King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a cropped photo of Harry, sparking criticism for Meghan’s exclusion.
Prince Harry received birthday wishes from King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales as he turned 40, but Meghan Markle was notably absent from the official posts.
On Sunday, royal social media accounts shared a photo of Harry from a 2018 event in Dublin, where he appeared smiling.
The post, however, drew criticism for not including Meghan, who was also at the same event.
According to Mirror, the image used was a pre-cropped version made available by picture agencies like Getty Images.
Getty confirmed that cropping images to focus on individual subjects is a common practice, suggesting that Meghan’s exclusion was not deliberate.
The image was likely chosen to highlight Prince Harry alone in celebration of his birthday.
Harry, who stepped back from royal duties alongside Meghan in 2022, now resides in California with his wife and two children.
Multiple sources reported that he celebrated his 40th birthday privately with family before attending a gathering with friends.
