King Charles’ Changes Pose Risk to Monarchy, Biographer Warns

Concerns Over Slimmed-Down Monarchy Amid Health Issues

Royal biographer Christopher Anderson has criticized King Charles for recent changes affecting Prince William and the royal family, warning that these shifts could bring the monarchy to a halt due to the reduced number of active royals.

Speaking to OK magazine, Anderson pointed out that the longevity of senior royals like Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip made redundancy seem unnecessary for over 70 years.

However, the current scenario, with both King Charles and Princess Kate facing cancer diagnoses, underscores the urgent need for better planning.

Anderson’s concerns are echoed by royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, who noted that the slimmed-down monarchy is proving impractical, especially in light of unexpected events such as Princess Anne’s recent accident.

Fitzwilliams emphasized that the reduction in active royals is straining the institution’s ability to fulfill its roles and responsibilities effectively.
