Government Sets Official Hajj Package Price, Quotas, and Duration Details
The federal cabinet has approved the Hajj policy for next year’s pilgrimage through a circulation summary, with the official package estimated to cost between Rs10,75,000 and Rs11,75,000.
Approximately 179,000 people from Pakistan will have the opportunity to perform Hajj in 2025.
The policy outlines quotas for various sectors: 89,605 pilgrims for both government and private operators, 1,000 for the labour sector, and 300 for low-income workers registered under the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).
The Hajj duration will offer two options—long Hajj lasting 38 to 42 days and short Hajj for 20 to 25 days. Children under 12 years will not be allowed to participate.
The “Road to Makkah” service will be available at Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi airports, and women without a mehram (male guardian) may perform Hajj based on guidelines from the Islamic Ideological Council.
